Hi I’m Hannah Carr, your local, bespoke estate agent.
Since 2012 I have worked for some of the big names in the industry, and ran my own independent estate agency for four years. I am delighted to be part of eXp, one of the largest estate agents in the world offering an individual service. The collaboration now means I can offer you all the best bits from the High Street estate agent, with the personal service of an independent agency.
The bespoke part of what I do lies in dealing with every one of my sales and customers in a unique way. To give everyone I deal with the time they deserve to ensure that you receive the best possible service and achieve the best possible results.
I have sold thousands of homes in some fantastic markets, but the real experience comes from selling homes in some incredibly challenging markets, which I now have the grey hairs and the wrinkles to show for! I offer brilliant local knowledge, years of experience and a real person to lean on so that you get the very best advice through the entire process – including help with your onward search if you have one. I really care about my business and my clients; your experience and successful move is my livelihood and reputation.
How I am helping others to sell their homes
With the help of my daughter (pictured) I have handled literally thousands of sales in my career, and many of the properties I sell are complicated and unique, from listed cottages to extensive equestrian homes. But I also love to handle more straightforward sales of course! Whatever the property type and whatever the situation, I consistently rise to the challenge to make my clients moves as seamless as it can be.
How do I differ from other ‘local’ estate agents?
I find that many buyers moving to our area follow a similar journey to the one I have had, which means I can relate to you and your buyers and help on a truly personal level. I wholeheartedly love living in Thrapston, but I also loved living in the surrounding villages too. I understand the importance of knowing where the nearest amenities are, the pros and cons of local schools and nurseries, the transport system (or lack of) and what the local community is like.
Most high street estate agents will pride themselves on having a ‘network’ or ‘multi-branch’ reach. Having spent a lot of my career in the corporate world, and also running my own independent estate agency before joining eXp, I can honestly say the eXp network is one of the very few set ups of its sort that really does work – there are now over 850 eXp agents nationwide, and we are number one in the UK. The referral system and support we all give each other, while technically all working for ourselves is such a refreshing and revolutionary way to work, and that gives us the power to push your sale in a way no other agency can.
I am lucky to have a close network of other local eXp agents (pictured with a handful of us on a bonding night out) and we really do work together to help buyers and sellers come together, and provide support for one another when we need it.
I also work closely with other local businesses from solicitors to gardeners that I know and I can trust. Many agents will be targeted on referring you to a company that they have some financial agreement with, but don’t actually provide a particularly good service and that can add a lot of unnecessary stress and strain to your move.
About Thrapston and the surrounding villages
Thrapston is an amazing little market town, with a pretty high street offering a fantastic selection of independent shops, pubs and cafes. The community is one of the most vibrant, friendly and supportive I have ever known, and there is so much going on for all ages. The school and nurseries are good, and there’s everything you could need from dentists, doctors to accountants all within walking distance.
The river nene runs alongside the town and provides gorgeous scenery, fishing and boating opportunities and Thrapston is surrounded by beautiful countryside, stunning lakes and nature reserves.
Situated within easy reach of the A14 and A45, this gem of a town offers easy access to major road links and mainline train stations in the nearby towns.
The surrounding countryside also offers some marvellous villages, each is a little different in what it offers, but generally the schools are excellent and the people are wonderful. I can certainly recommend trying all the local pubs (but it would take a while as there’s a lot of them!) There are some amazing country parks about too.
One of the great things I love about living in the area is the amount of local produce you can find. In Catworth for example; you can buy fruit and veg grown in the village from Alpino Gardens and meat reared on the outskirts by Chestnut farm or Tilbrook Grange. It doesn’t get much better for freshness and reducing your carbon footprint than that!
